Getting the treated area right

Terrace area is the flat plan area plus the upturn at parapets—add roughly the parapet perimeter × 1 ft of upturn if you want to be precise.
Bathroom area means floor plus the wet wall band, which is why it is usually larger than the floor plan alone.
Water tank area is the internal wetted surface: floor + four walls, not the external footprint.
Surface preparation is priced separately because it is the step most often skipped, and the most common reason a system fails early.
